Review:

Greenland is a survival/disaster movie released in 2020 where chaos surrounds people worldwide after several comets are going to hit the surface.

John was living his life as a structural engineer peacefully until that day when his phone rang giving him a message. The plot shows how the chaos triggered among people after they found comet is going to hit the populated cities.

John started his journey as soon as he found out his home is not safe anymore to stay. He and his family had to go through a lot of chaos and they even had to separate.

Instead of helping each other in such a scenario, people became self-centric, selfish, and rob if they got the chance. The government also became discriminatory that only valuable or rich people are given protection. John was also one of them who was given such protection but his son was not given a place to stay under protection just because he was sick.

The government have managed bunkers only for special people who are highly educated. skilled and valuable people so that their skills can be used if needed. This is totally ridiculous as its like people with no skill have no right to stay on the sea place but to be killed in disaster. Such discrimination stimulated fear and anger, riots. chaos, and crimes.

The movie presented emotional attachment among the family as they separated and reunited which made their bonding even stronger in such a  disaster event.

Technologies are developed to make our life easier but it does not favour when it is most needed.

Gerard Butler as John presented as a responsible family man who can put aside any obstacles for the sake of his family.

Gerard Butler movies are mind-blowing intense action and he presents as never give up guy.
