Synopsis:
After being raid by the Arikara, Hugh Glass guide Captain Andrew Henry and his survived team to safety. One day he was almost dead by the attack of Bear, he was left by the people of the team.
Review:
The Revenant released in 2015 is a survival movie where Leonardo Dicaprio portrayed as the protagonist, Hugh Glass, and Tom Hardy, the antagonist as John Fitzgerald.
After the bear attack, he was almost dead, his life was holding on a thread. He needed to be carried throughout the journey.
His health was so critical that his team thought he would be dead in one or two days.
Three people were hired to take care of Glass and if dead, to be buried properly because the survived people after Arikara raid should be in debt to him and it was their small duty to help in the critical time. One of them was his son who was murdered by Fitz and left Glass to die.
He could do nothing, neither he could yell, just he could see his son being murdered. His struggle beings now.
He struggles with his extremely critical health and weather, snow, storm, and starts his journey to have vengeance.
He was being followed by the aboriginal people Arikara, on the other hand, the weather and his own health were not in his favor.
All the things were against him but he was kind of a person who was never gonna give up.
Mr. Glass travels through woods, river, snowy hills, even he had to spend the night inside the belly of a horse to be safe from cold weather.
In the climax, Glass and Feiz have an intense fight on the bank of the river. The more he fight against his critical health, the more he seems to committed to his vengeance.
I was watching movie thinking Glass will die soon after the scene. However I was wrong every time, the man survived.
The real Hugh Glass condition was much worse than as shown in the movie. I am just can't think how the real Hugh Glass has gone through all these things.
The movie scene was very amazing. The choice of all the location is fantastic.
He had no one to take care of when he needed the most. he had no food when he was helpless. Every scene remind us death is better than life for him.
The man proved to be the real struggler.
